Fortuna Zingara produce fine porcelain and fine ceramic tiles, with over 30 years experience in the tile industry, traces his roots in West London since early 90.
Our range of products is conceived and designed in London while the chemical test and research to develop all the necessary files to produce are made in Italy.
Once the development process is finished, we then produce our tiles in a selected platform of manufacturers in Italy, Dubai and China.
From these 3 origins and with the London’s sense of style we have created a range of Porcelain and Ceramic tiles, Slabs plus a bespoke section of on demand development, home to our suite of exceptional commissioning services, including for the ultimate in tailored tiles and slabs.
Fine Porcelain Tiles
Late 80’s the Porcelain tiles made his entry as an evolutions of the ceramic tiles procedures.
Mainly created for floor tiles, compare to the ceramic, has a stronger body and glaze, making it suitable for any kind of floors application.
The Clay for porcelain tiles is not locally supplied anymore, but instead it is generally imported as a strong granite powder and can be white or coloured even with pigments addition. Once received, it is required to properly wash the porcelain clay from all his impurity and get a perfectly clean powder.
Once pressed the body of the tile, because of this clean powder, the body of the porcelain tiles can resist a much higher temperature before melting, that allow a better greifications between the body and the glaze applied on top and because of the extremely low porosity it is also frost proof making it a much stronger tile.
With the improvement of the technology it is now possible to obtain a better colours chart and designs, making it suitable for all floor and wall application keeping the strenght feature.

RIVIERA
The design is inspired by a evening time of the light colour in the Riviera, available in 2 sizes, 3 colours and 1 finish.
The Italian Riviera in Liguria, is a small coast just few kilometres long where some small fisherman village like Portofino, Rapallo and Santa Margherita are now considered Mediterranean pearls as a glamour turistic place to be.
CROISETTE
The designed is inspired by a daytime of the light colour in the Croisette, available in 2 sizes, 4 colours and 1 finish.
The Promenade de la Croisette, or Boulevard de la Croisette, is a prominent road in Cannes, France. It stretches along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea and is about 2 km long.
The Croisette is known for the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, where the Cannes Film Festival is held.
Many expensive shops, restaurants, and hotels line the road. It goes completely along the coastline of Cannes.
The Croisette is listed in the cultural heritage general inventory of France.
PUROSANGUE
The design was inspired by a fusion of a fabric with a marble quarried in Africa.
Available in 3 colours and a total of 5 sizes, 10×30, 30X60, 60X60, 30X120, 60X120 plus 1 mosaic all of them in 1 sugarcoat finish, rectified edge and color body porcelain tiles.
The design is modern and minimalistic with some sparkling lights reflection that give a bit of life of the London look.
The name “PUROSANGUE” is dedicated to the thoroughbred racing horses, being PUROSANGUE the ultimate Trendy Tiles
GALLIPOLI
The design is inspired by a fresh Mediterranean look. It is made of 1 size and 12 different designs that are packed individually as a single design.
The design is developed so that every single tile can be connected to another one of the same design as a repeating pattern to infinity.
The edge is UNRECTIFIED, and the finish is MATT to respect the antique look. The name of this series was inspired by the the medieval city of Gallipoli in the south of Italy and in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea.
This historical Ancient City was a strategic military point during the Roman Empire.
During the XV-XVII century, it became the most important port for the trading of light oil, exporting it mainly to London. Recently it has become one of the most glamour touristic city in the Mediterranean Sea.
SEDICI
The design and the finish was inspired by a fusion of a metal and smooth concrete look.
Available in 4 colours and a total of 7 sizes all in one smooth lappato finish, the design is made of 16 different pieces in 60x60cm and 32 pieces in 30x60cm.
The name SEDICI means “16” in Italian and is dedicated to someone very close that was contestant number 16 in “Miss Europe”.
LONDON LIGHT
The design was inspired by a marble quarried in Africa and found in the famous Harrods magazine in London.
Available in 3 colours and a total of 3 sizes plus 1 mosaic in 1 finishes, smooth glossy shiny full lappato finish.
The design is made of 15 different pieces in 60x60cm and 30 in 30x60cm. The name “LONDON LIGHT” is dedicated to the beauty and the fantasy of London’s evening wear!
Fine Ceramic Tiles
In Italy in the late 50’s early 60’s started the productions industrielized of Ceramic Tiles surfaces, it was a passage from the hand made ceramic tiles artigianally made mainly in the south west coast of italy and the islands.
The productions was in double firing (Doppia Cottura), a process that requires 48 hours to produce because as the word says the tiles needed to fired the support first, nicknamed biscuit, then apply the glaze and refire again to have a finished products.
Later during the 80’s this technology was updated to a single firing process requiring 55 minutes at 900 C degree, in order to resist to a higher temperature and quicker firing the local red clay was completely dismissed and substituted with a more refined white body clay.
This clay generally imported is washed prior to be used with a process named atomised, the final cleaned result increase the level break point temperature prior of the melting limits, that gives more strengths to the body of the tiles with a cleaner products.

DIAMOND is a rich diamond cut effect wall tile 10×30 cm available in 5 colours in a matt or glossy finish, extremely good for any kitchen backsplash or bathroom.
The name of the family that belong CERAMICHE is to honour the old way of producing tiles surfaces,wich is still updated.
METRO
METRO is a classic wall tile 10×30 cm tile available in 5 colours in a matt or glossy finish, extremely good for any kitchen backsplash or bathroom.

Slabs
With the refinements of the porcelain tiles body, larger slabs were possible to be produced.
The slabs are not pressed in a regular porcelain tiles press machine, instead they are compressed with a compactor role and then cutted to measure.
They can be very thin to save weight or thick to be used as a countertop in certain application.
We produce 120×240 cm, 120×260 cm, 120×270 cm and 160×320 cm with a variety of design and colours.

Custom Made Tiles
The Custom Made tiles is a bespoke personalisation service.
We can develop any design or colour palette the customer desire, totally developed and produced on a commission based project.
As an example with customer’s permission, here we show a request we had few years ago to develop a tattoo design totally custom made and applied as a tapestry design on tiles.
The project was completed with the full satisfaction of the customer, and again, we can develop and make any wishes that customer wants in terms of size, design and colours.
